One in five children ages 13-18 are living with a mental health condition and half of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14. To help provide greater access to intervention and treatment of local youth in need, The Josselyn Center has expanded its partnership with Maine Township's MaineStay Youth & Family Services to include children and adolescents. These services began on April 4, 2018 - exactly three years after Maine Center abruptly closed.
We aim to educate and inspire, and that means sharing reliable information on a regular basis.

Over $50,000 of in-kind and financial support will make horticulture therapy a reality in 2019.
A major refresh of The Josselyn Center, thanks to our Building for Mental Health Campaign, is updating and expanding our spaces and creating room for stronger programming.
While we make our way through this time of year, we can care for ourselves as best as possible.
As profiled in the Northbrook Star, The Josselyn Center is excited to share that we have been selected as one of two ‘Major Gift’ recipients from The Northbrook Civic Foundation! Northbrook Civic’s $10,000 gift will help fund in part Josselyn’s installation of an ADA-compliant elevator, fulfilling our commitment to providing accessible services for all.
Funds will be raised for The Josselyn Center and Civic’s other gift recipients at the foundation’s annual festival, Northbrook Days, held Wednesday, August 2nd to Tuesday, August 6th at the Village Green Park, Meadow, and Shermer roads. With local bands, roller coaster rides, dunk tanks, carnival games, and friendly faces from Josselyn and other local organizations, the festival is sure to be a hit!
