A Brighter, Expanded Josselyn
We all feel intuitively—and research shows—that physical environments affect our mental health. A comfortable chair, freshly painted walls and mood-boosting lights can calm and ground us. The Josselyn Center is proud of progress on our capital project, and all of the enhancements we can make as a result of our Building for Mental Health Campaign. Our major building renovations are on track for completion in Spring/Summer 2019, with updated spaces throughout the building, new rooms to accommodate our growing client base, and better meeting spaces for our group activities. Meanwhile, the Building for Mental Health campaign continues to gather support and engage community members. Just 20 months into the three-year Campaign, Josselyn has raised $2.56 of its $3 million goal. These critical funds will mean:
- A refreshed and more useful building for our services;
- Expanded programming abilities, such as The Living Room, additional psychiatric services, art therapy, horticultural therapy, Immediate Access and Pathways to Employment;
- Stronger reserves so we can keep going for many years to come, no matter changing state budgets.
