170 years of shared mental health care experience will further strengthen the community.
As community needs for mental health care increase, Family Service of Lake County (FSLC) and Josselyn have agreed to unite to be better positioned to help meet the behavioral, educational and wellness needs for the region. FSLC has a long history of providing counseling, senior and caregiver support, and educational and mentoring support to children and families.
“FSLC has evolved over the last 90 years because we have remained responsive to the needs in the community. By consolidating our programming with Josselyn, we know that we will be even stronger together,” said Marcela Sztainberg, FSLC Board Chair.
Effective March 31, 2023, eight FSLC board members were named to Josselyn’s board of directors, and FSLC staff were invited to join Josselyn. As community needs for mental health care, educational services, and senior and caregiver support services increase, the vital programming provided by FSLC and Josselyn will be even better positioned to meet the region’s growing needs.
“This consolidation means we can eliminate duplicative administrative costs and redirect those resources to expand our services and programming. Together we will build on the excellence of care that FSLC has provided for almost a century,” said Pam Martin, Josselyn Board Chair.
Josselyn is excited to continue to honor the legacy that FSLC has developed to strengthen families and expand further on their vision of Mental health for all.
Together, Josselyn and FSLC’s programming includes:
