Development Assistant

Position Summary:  

The Development Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of general office support functions as directed by the President and the Director of External Affairs.  The Development Assistant has the primary responsibility for processing correspondence, assist with completing requests for funding applications and accompanying forms, upkeep of the website and social media sites and formatting of various flyers, invitations, event programs and other documents as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Experience in non-profit development record-keeping and stewardship
  • Proficient in Salesforce and all Microsoft Suite Programs, especially Excel, Word (Mail Merge), PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat.  Familiar with Joomla or other web hosting software
  • Ability to multi task
  • Advanced oral communication skills
  • Highly developed administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Must be able to work under pressure of deadlines
  • Proficient with social media sites, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support President, Director of External Affairs and other members of the Senior Management Team
  • Manage President and Director of External Affairs' calendars
  • Process correspondence, including preparation of donor tax letters, confidential letters and documentation
  • Update and manage all donor PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist with completion of requests for funding applications and accompanying forms, including research, acting as resource for grant specific issues and editing/proofreading
  • Accurately input donation details into Salesforce and perform monthly reconciliations with accounting software
  • Complete special mailings to include making arrangements for timely preparation, packaging, labeling and postmarking
  • Support and participate in all development and community fundraising events, including bit not limited to preparing registration sheets, raffle design and room set-up
  • Maintain fundraising and board member documentation as well as communication and meet with members of the Board of Directors and other Board Committees when needed
  • Prepare and execute paperwork/packets/minutes and order food for Board and committee meetings as deemed necessary
  • Format flyers, registration and event page and receive registrations for Continuing Education workshops
  • Support design of Newsletter and Annual Report
  • Update and maintain agency website and all social media sites
  • Support agency staff with computer and copier related troubleshooting

Psychiatric APN provides psychiatric evaluation and ongoing psychiatric medication monitoring, and assesses for medication compliance.
