As the need for mental health care in our communities continues to soar, Josselyn is committed to cultivating a workforce of highly trained clinicians to help meet this need. The scholarship provides student loan repayment for mental health-related master’s degrees, with an allocation of up to $10,000 per year over a span of four years, to Josselyn employees who work in Lake County.
“This scholarship support will help ensure these deserving individuals have the resources they need to further their education and training in order to make an even more profound impact in the communities that Josselyn serves,” said Susan Resko, Josselyn CEO & President.
Schreiber Scholars are dedicated to addressing the diverse mental health needs of Lake County. Clinical Supervisor Joshua Garvey said, “The Schreiber Scholarship would lessen the burden of student loan debt, and ultimately enable me to focus on growing my abilities as a therapist, allowing me to enhance my skills and better impact underserved communities.”
Therapist Alison B. Pollack shared, “I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of Josselyn. I sincerely believe that no other organization is as dedicated to their mission, their employees, and their clients. I feel cared for, recognized, and appreciated. Thank you for providing such a generous scholarship for Josselyn staff!”
Thank you to The John & Kathleen Schreiber Foundation for their generous investment in the Schreiber Scholarship to develop the mental health workforce in Lake County.
